Cytera

Cytera makes a device that automates cell cultures with existing T-flasks and incubators. When COVID-19 hit they were unable to travel to the USA, so I joined in July, 2020 to help commission and install their device at a client site in Boston.

  • Project Description
  • Cytera was launching a pilot with a Boston based company but was unable to travel to Boston to perform the device installation themselves due to the global pandemic. They needed someone on the ground to handle all of the in person tasks and interactions for the pilot.
  • My Work
  • My work mostly entailed being Cytera's eyes, ears, and hands on the ground during the preparation for and launch of this new pilot. I received the equipment at my home, checked for damage, verified functionality, debugged hardware issues, installed the device at the client side, and trained the client on use.
Cytera is an early stage startup in need of a lot of flexibility. I worked with them to ensure client satisfaction and a good outcome for their pilot in extenuating circumstances.

Like most of my contract work, I am unable to share specific details about the work product.
